Our Rosemary Oh Ghee is made from orgainc butter from grass-fed cows in Oregon and pure oil from organic rosemary along with organic black pepper oil. Our ghee has a smooth texture, decadent, slightly nutty flavor, and is a golden color.
We craft our ghee in small batches, careful to remove all trace of milk solids and proteins to ensure we are left with only the most decadent butterfat that provides many health benefits. Ghee is considered a superfood that contains omega 3, 6, and 9 essential fatty acids, 18 amino acids, 8 enzymes, 25 minerals, vitamins A, D, E & K, and is one of the highest natural sources of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid). Ghee is shelf stable with a high smoke point of 485 degrees. Ghee is free of lactose, casein, and whey and suitable for most with dairy sensitivities and intolerance.
Rosemary oil ads an earthy herbiness, great for spreading on bread, baking into biscuits, or braising meats. You can use this product wherever you would use butter or oil. It is perfect for making your homemade baked goods. You can substitute it for butter or oil in any recipe. We recommend using a 1:1 substitution of rosemary Oh Ghee for oil and a .75:1 substitution ration of rosemary Oh Ghee for butter.
